Pigs really can fly!
Whoop! Whoop! Pigs really can fly!
A successful first test of the pig lift which Beneath the Wood supporters helped fund the build of.
We lifted a couple of the smaller pigs with the guidance of the creator, Sebastien from Designeering.
Our main mission was to check everything worked and we know how to operate it safely.
We can now give the pigs the foot care they need. We will start working our way through the whole herd of 100 pigs. It will take a while!
Foot care is so important to the wellbeing of pigs. But it’s very difficult to achieve when you have big herds of large pigs without a piece of machinery like this.
