Phoenix Shelter Fundraiser
Pigoneer Andie Sobey is raising funds for a much-needed shelter for Phoenix, one of the famous 53 pigs. Andie was honoured to name Phoenix and become his committed sponsor for life. She is so committed that she is getting a Pigoneer tattoo to help to raise the money needed for his shelter.
Said Andie:
“Phoenix arrived at Beneath The Wood sanctuary in a pitiful state, both physically and mentally. How could he trust humans after what he’d been through? Slowly and steadily he has come to know and trust Sasha and now allows her to come close, such a testament to her loving care of him, and all BTW residents.“I believe that by having this meaningful tattoo Phoenix will gain his shelter and it will also highlight the sanctuary and the dedication shown by all Pigoneers (a dedicated feed club for the piggies to be fed for life). We will film my tattoo and I hope to be brave and not cry!”
