Beneath the Wood would like to wish all our supporters a Happy New Year. Let’s hope 2021 unfolds a lot better than 2020 did and we finally see life return to some sort of normality.
A new year also sees a new website … and an exciting new ambassador for the sanctuary too in Canadian/American actress Tara Strong (pictured). Tara is an award-winning voice-over animation artist who is also a voice for the animals as well. Check out her website at www.tarastrong.com.
The last 12 months has been a major challenge for all of us, but here at Beneath the Wood we have achieved so much in what has been a very difficult year, relocating the Pembrokeshire pigs to our own site just before the first lockdown and then going a long way towards erecting a winter barn for them. We are nearly there … but not quite.
Thanks to all those who contributed to our fundraising towards the £35,000 needed for the barn (and extra concreting and fencing etc). We are still £10,000 short but the barn is fast taking shape.
Special thanks to all those dedicated volunteers and helpers who have done so much to help Sasha in 2020, in particular Rob, Maura, Julie and Eddi.
We would also like to thank the following for their support of Beneath the Wood in the last 12 months.
